Our Mission, Goals, & Values
Welcome to the Kittery Community Market! Our aim is to bring the people of Kittery and the surrounding areas closer to our local farmers and artisans. Our mission is to create a lively and ever-evolving market that promotes the consumption of locally-grown food, as well as handmade goods and prepared foods made by our very own community members. We firmly believe that by supporting sustainable farming practices, we not only provide healthy and affordable food options but also contribute to the betterment of our environment and local economy. Thank you for your visit.

Affordable Healthy Choices
The Kittery Community Market gladly accepts SNAP/EBT as a form of payment. SNAP, or the “Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program,” is a government-funded program aimed at providing assistance in acquiring healthy meals. EBT, on the other hand, is an electronic payment method similar to a debit card that enables government funding to be utilized. We are excited to partner with Seacoast Eat Local to offer SNAP recipients access to fresh and nutritious food choices at our markets.
The Kittery Community Market is committed to supporting local SNAP recipients through the Maine Harvest Bucks program. By shopping at our market, you can earn $1 of Maine Harvest Bucks for every $1 of SNAP funds spent, allowing you to double the value of your purchase and enjoy more delicious produce. You can either use your Maine Harvest Bucks on the same day or save them for later. In addition to receiving extra healthy and wholesome foods at no extra cost, you are also contributing to the growth of local farmers by increasing their sales. It’s a mutually beneficial situation for all involved!
